The United States Association of Consecrated Virgins has as its primary purpose to foster communication, solidarity, and support among United States consecrated virgins. The USACV and newly formed International Resource Center for the Ordo Virginum (IRC) operate as one organization to offer educational materials and programs of education about the vocation, as well as to encourage study and growth of understanding of the vocation of consecrated virginity lived in the world. “Friends” of the USACV receive our newsletter, The Lamp, issued four times per year. Friends also receive other announcements of conferences and materials concerning the Order of Virgins in the United States. The USACV is self-supporting and relies upon the generous support of our friends to be able to make available a website and variety of materials concerning the vocation of consecrated virginity lived in the world.
